Some families know a great deal about their roots; others know very little. This site is an attempt to record what I've
learned about the Cumper families histories. The Cumper families are scattered around the world. One of the goals of this
web site is to collect any information about Cumpers, past or present, in an attempt to link each one into a clan.
My parents, Frank and Vera Cumper, collected our family genealogy from what our living members had accumulated or could
remember. In 1985 they traveled to England to further their research. A few years later, they turned the research over to
me. With the help of the Brothers Keeper genealogy program and the internet, I have expanded this research into a One-Name
Study of all Cumper or Comper surname families.
